This resume format is the most commonly used. It is straightforward and clearly shows a candidate's career path and progression in a given field. Experience and accomplishments are listed in reverse chronological order, with the most recent job positioned first. A chronological resume leaves little to the imagination. Its ability of making it difficult to hide employment gaps makes it the most preferred format of employers and recruiters.
