Interview Questions: Work History

What have you learned from your mistakes?

When responding to the question  "What have you learned from your mistakes?" at a job interview, include specific examples that turn a mistake or negative into a positive.

Some good responses include:

  • Through my experience, persistence is one of the most important things I've learned. Don't give up too soon, because the solution is probably just around the corner.
  • Give people a second chance, because first impressions can sometimes be misleading.
  • There is often more than one solution to a problem and being open to new ideas has the possibility of great success.
