Interview Questions: About You

How many hours do you normally work?

Have a well prepared, thought out response for the question how many hours a week you work. Answer the question so that the interviewer doesn't think you're either a slacker or someone who works too many hours. The norm is a 40 hour work week at many companies with everyone going home on time, but some places may expect people to work 50 or 60 hours a week.

Giving the impression that you work a lot of hours is not necessarily a good thing. In certain circumstances, it could say you're not diligent enough to complete the job done in a reasonable amount of time. Think about the company culture and expectations of the interviewer. Don't mention the number of hours you work, but rather say you work as much as necessary to get the job done.
